UC JOURNAL - Help required!

These are probably silly questions, but I need to ask them because I can't work them out for the person whose UC Journal I manage!
First is regarding Journal etiquette - is it acceptable/normal to thank an agent for their help, by just replying saying "thanks for your help/resolving that issue" in the way we would in other correspondence with agencies?
Second is regarding PDF'ing or printing the journal. Does anyone have any hacks beyond copying and pasting each and every entry?
