ESA to UC questions

I have to move from IR ESA to UC in May. I also get both components of PIP & housing benefit (housing association). I'm worried & have a few questions about the Migrstion to UC
- Will I continue getting full housing benefit & paying same monthly council tax instalments?
- Do you get the 3 weeks with no rent or money paid in first UC payment?
- I only have provisional licence photo ID. Will this sling with proof of address be enough to verify ID o line?
- I will call citizens advice helpline but wonder if they continue helping if any issues with first UC payment & transitional protection.
Thanks

- Unless you live in sheltered/supported housing your rent will be paid via UC Housing Element. The amount should be the same. Council Tax Reduction is decided on at a local level. Some people have found after migration a change in the amount they need to pay towards CT.
- UC is paid one month in arrears, so when you receive the first payment there will be arrears on your rent account. My social housing provider sets up a payment plan paying a little extra until the arrears are cleared. Then each UC payment puts the account one month into credit.
- Some people get on fine verifying ID online, for others it fails.
- The Help to Claim service can support you before, during and after your claim.
