I feel so sad. I'm autistic with a progressive neurological condition. I live alone and have no more that about 6 hours of human contact per week. I suppose that gives me more time to ruminate. Anyway, yesterday afternoon I found two Easter cards through my door. They'd been hand delivered. One was from a very elderly person, the other from a woman who I thought of as a genuine friend. A person whose problems I have listened to. A person who has gobbled my biscuits and cake. But she didn't ring the doorbell to hand me the cards and say hello. They were just shoved through the letterbox. I feel so worthless.

Your not worthless to live and sit with yourself and be by self is a very strong person if you ask me I'm the same mines out of choice I'm awaiting adhd test but I'm definitely autistic all people cause me is stress unhappiness I genuinely feel so triggered by people I can't help it I understand myself so much at 53 I've tried the fitting in friendships marriages I just don't have patience I see through people I can read them like a book even finish what thier going to say don't get me wrong I have a personality but I'm a helper resolver of all problems extremely empathetic like I feel the person pain I become like an open wound around people so I limit that now instead of forcing myself to become completely wiped out mentally and all this 4 point rule is stressing but I tell you what I will fight them for it really fight being autistic in this modern day world is soul destroying but you are not worthless all the things you have experienced makes you a warrior maybe your neighbour thought she wouldn't knock just incase she disturbed you it was nice that she posted a card and was thinking of you it's like my neighbours know me so well now they know if they knock I won't answer door for no one so maybe it's that be easy on yourself it's such stressful times we are going through don't beat yourself up we are always here your not alone

Morning @Sandy_123 and anyone else I've missed 💛
Ouch @Elvisdog, sorry to hear you've had Shingles and have dealt with so many other issues recently. Hope you're on the mend and are feeling more comfortable now.
Sorry you're feeling so down about things @Zipz. I get what you mean about having time to ruminate. I've been through lots of periods of time where I've been at home with not much contact with the outside world and it's not easy to stay postive about things. You're not worthless at all and we're here if you need to vent about things. Perhaps the lady wasn't able to knock when she posted the card, or maybe there's another reason that she couldn't pop by. Hopefully she'll come and see you soon. Or if you feel up to it, maybe you could send her a message? I'd understand if you don't feel like doing that right now.
Hope you managed to get some rest last night @Grumpy1314

Hi everyone
I haven't been on in ages sorry. It's getting close to the wedding and everything was going well until my hen night.
A friend told me that my fiancé's son who is 37 and married said to her and her husband (who is best man and Mr Marydoll closest friend) asked them what they thought of thr marriage. He said he was shocked and blindsided and didn't understand why we were getting married.
They said we have been together 7 years and that I looked after his dad when he was seriously ill snd it seemed a logical step.
I wish she hadn't said anything. I have been so upset as his son was really positive about getting married to us. I had a couple of days of crippling anxiety.
My partner is meeting his son for lunch right now just to give him a chance to say anything to him. He isn't going to bring it up.
It's really hard especially as his son wanted to put him in a nursing home when he was ill in hospital but I brought him home and did everything for 2 years to get him well with no help. I don't know what to feel and just wish I didn't know what his son said.
Welcome all new members to me. This is a great place with good people.

Same here @Teigr! It's been so cold at night though.
Hi @Marydoll5, lovely to see you ☺️
Sorry to hear things have been stressful, that sounds really difficult to deal with. It's so clear to us all how much you care for Mr Marydoll. You've been through a lot together so it's understandable that you're feeling mixed up after hearing that. When it comes down to it, the most important thing will be the two of you and the love you have for each other. Fingers crossed things are smoothed out for the big day. Hope you're doing okay 💛

Thanks @Rosie_Scope . Hope all is good with you and all the admins.
I underestimated how stressful planning a wedding is and thought as we are older people wouldn't have demands but boy was I wrong 😊

@Marydoll5 sorry I missed your comment, that was a bit mean of your friend to say that, but also of your stepson, I hope you can over come it. It only matters what you and your fiancee feel. No one else.
Well done you for looking after him also. It's nice to see you posting

@Sandy_123 good to be back! He got an angiogram which confirmed the fistula repair in his brain has held.
The proposal came after this. We are looking forward to the wedding although sometimes I wish we had gone away and come back married.
Hi @Grumpy1314 and hope your tooth isn't hurting too much. Things seem to happen all at once don't they?

That's good, the wedding will be beautiful @Marydoll5

I have problems with a wisdom tooth @Grumpy1314 ,it's growing sideways and pressing on another tooth.
I hope everything goes okay at the dentist, mine told me I'd have to go into hospital because I'd need to be under general anaesthetic to have the wisdom tooth removed.
She changed her mind this month though and she's now said that she can remove the tooth it's pressing on if I'm okay with that.

That's an odd thing for your partner's son to say @Marydoll5 ,although I'm sure there'd be similar comments if Mr Teigr and my scruffy little self decided to take the plunge.
'Oooh, they've been together for two hundred years, why are they bothering'?
Try not to stress too much,I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end.🙂
