yes Ellen is amazing. I watched her on Ben claimant. She did say she has things u her sleeve that she won’t go into. Keir starmer actually took Blair’s government to court over benefits for asylum seekers. He won due to the law stating everyone is entitled to food and shelter. Yet the same law he used then he’s ignoring for us . Surely if/when this passes the echr will get involved. Keir loves the echr so how can he ignore them if they claim this violates our rights under the equality act

Not my king either. I've no time for the monarchy. When you think of how much they get subsidised by the people of this country when they are already so wealthy and privaliged.
The establishment won't hear of them being called scroungers though, unlike us. 😖

exactly. All that wealth and look on as people starve . Have the cheek to shake hands with people and pretend to care. Give back your money then if you care that much .

We are not starving!!! Please keep this in perspective.

I am grateful to have my rent paid for and an allowance from the state! People say they want to live in another country but who else is going to pay your living costs?

Yes, Ellen is really inspiring. 🤗 I have heard that about Starmer, what a hypocrite he is. With a conveniently short memory when it suits him. 😒
He's "forgotten" about the ECHR, too by the looks of it. Our own humans rights laws would have to be used though before we could go to the ECHR, if our courts failed to stop Starmer and Co.

I should think that their lives are so removed from the poor, that they don't even think about us. It seems strange that they take such a chunk of the country's money but then do charitable works. 🤔 A strange way to go about things.

he’s a psychopath imo . Uses people for his own gain , my dad’s a toolmaker ( too right he is). Disabled brother then mum. All for sympathy. He’s dead behind the eyes and can’t read how unpopular he is .

and a human rights lawyer who doesn’t believe the disabled and elderly should have human rights. I absolutely knew he would be like this . Something about him has always creeped me out .

DWP Operations continues the mass migration of working age benefits to UC under the 2016 reforms while we worry about PIP. Those WCA reforms were a sham. As were the amended ESA regulations in 2011 followed by the Welfare Reform Act 2012.
Members seem to think all this came out of the blue but it didn't. The rot set in with dodgy WCA reforms in 2011 and again in 2015 when Iain Duncan Smith spotted "a fundamental flaw in the ESA regulations" (his regulations) ah ha ha. So he reformed the WCA again and cancelled the LCW component. DWP and IDS have been busy in the 10 years since then. So has DPAC. They will call him out.
As egister has said many times, it doesn't matter who is in government because DWP is driving this not Keir Starmer. The worst thing that could happen if he resigned would be if one of the collaborators took over - the Deputy Prime Minister for example. The one who made sure the 2015 Welfare Bill passed into law.

I feel so sorry about what's happened to you, I really do. 😥 It's absolutely heartbreaking, I really don't recognise this country anymore with what's has been done to it.
What you have said is exactly why the "so called" government should not even consider doing this terrible thing to disabled people.
Apart from sympathising with you all I can do is to point you in the direction of some practical help.
Please do get in touch with Scope. You really do seem as though you need someone you can speak to on the end of the phone.
They are open tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am - 6pm and Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm. Their number is
0808 800 3333
If you need to talk to somebody sooner there is always the Samaritans, phone
116 123 (open 24/7).
Would it be a good idea if you got in touch with Shelter (England) at some point too for housing advice? If so phone
0344 515 2000
They are open Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm.
Please do contact at least one of them if you can. You probably think that the situation is hopeless but they may be able to do more for you than you think.
At least having someone to talk to about how you feel and your circumstances will help you, I'm sure.
At least you are part of this community and do get in touch with me if you want to. 😊

What I like about Keir Starmer is that he has no religious affiliation. The ones I despise are the hypocrite MP's lying through their teeth and hiding behind a religion. The ones who helped the Tories get their sneaky 'reforms' to the WCA through in 2011, 2012 and 2016.

stammer Starmer and stuttering reeves , neither have a clue what they’re talking about. I really wish someone had asked them why they aren’t waiting for the OBR report before having a vote. And how removing money will cure people who are sick and disabled. Not to mention why the obsession with us when there are genuine job seekers unable to get jobs . I’m really starting to think they’re just out to ruin the country on purpose as I can’t think of one good thing they’re doing. One of them must surely realise they’re useless. Reeves in parliament when Mel stride tire into her , trying to stifle a giggle like a school girl . Unbelievable

His wife is a Jew.

secretsquirrel, ESA and UC were rolled out without the necessary checks and balances. Reforms have been passed without sufficient scrutiny. Research to understand that none of this is new.
Pathways to Work was trialled in 2003. The narrative is identical.

I agree, Keir Starmer is not Jewish, he was raised in the Church of England and identifies as an atheist. However, his wife, Victoria Starmer, comes from a Jewish family with Polish roots. Her father is Jewish, and her mother converted to Judaism upon marriage. The Starmer family actively observes Jewish traditions. While Keir Starmer does not practice Judaism himself, he has shown respect for Jewish traditions and has accompanied his family to services at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in London.
