New Vehicle Payment

Hello,
I'm hoping to order a car via the mobility scheme soon. The car that I'm looking at doesn't have any advanced payments due to it being cheaper than my weekly advanced PIP mobility payment. Does the £750 new vehicle payment still exist firstly? And if so, if you do not need it to help with a vehicle advanced payment, are you eligible for £750 cash?
I read online somewhere that the new vehicle payment doesn't exist now/is not eligible if you enter a car lease after January 2025- which I'm a little confused about!
Thank you

If you already have a car on the scheme, but did not receive the NVP before, then you can still get it with your next car. For cars with no AP, it gets sent via bank transfer or cheque.
If this will be your first car on the scheme, then the payment does not still exist.

Thank you for your message :)
Yes, this will be my first car on the scheme so am I correct in saying that I won't be eligible for the £750 cash? Does the payment now not exist? It seems a shame given that it existed last year etc.

Yes, that's correct.
The payment no longer exists for new customers. Only existing customers who missed out in previous years.
It was never designed to be a permanent thing. Only introduced in 2022 due to the large increase of vehicle costs at the time, which Motability had no choice but to pass on to customers in the Advance Payment.

Ah okay, that makes sense @OverlyAnxious. Thank you for confirming.
It's surprising (but also not) that it's not awarded anymore given that car prices have increased since 2022 and also general living costs etc!

Is the good condition payment still exist @OverlyAnxious?

Yes, the Good Condition Payment still exists at the moment.
They have added some extra criteria to that from this year though. You must now complete the full lease of 3 or 5 years, and return the vehicle with an MOT, as well as all keys, parcel shelf etc, included.

That makes sense, thanks @OverlyAnxious
My PIP award date ends February 2027- does this mean I wouldn't be entitled to it because the lease wouldn't reach 3 years? I'm just thinking worst case scenario incase I wasn't awarded PIP again (advanced mobility component).

Yes, if you lose the Enhanced Award when reviewed, and have to return the car early, you wouldn't be entitled to the GCP. Hopefully that won't happen though!
