The government has confirmed that pensioners will not be affected by the new stricter PIP rules, even if they are reviewed. From November 2026, working-age claimants will need to score at least four points in a single daily living activity to qualify for the daily living component. This change will apply to new claims and award reviews, but not to people over State Pension Age.
Stephen Timms explained on 23 April 2025 that, under existing policy, people over State Pension Age are not routinely fully reviewed, but even if a review does happen, they will not be subject to the new 4-point rule. Pensioners will remain under the current PIP rules.

Would you personally be able to read 200 emails a day. Alot of companies do use AI to auto read emails. Job sites do it too because of the volume of applications. But everyone must protest the cuts and not give up.

I don’t know if this is already being done as I’m not on social media but what about compiling a list of MPs who are voting for the cuts and posting it over social media? Shame them all especially the ones who are being quiet .

That is fantastic news!! 👏
All the news and information I have read and I've not seen that anywhere. 😮 I'm sure you are right but can you remember where you saw that information?

it’s on benefits and work and daily mirror I believe. You may need to google it though as I think I read it a couple of days ago

This is good news for a few but it was the same when PIP replaced DLA. Anyone born before a certain date remained on DLA. No doubt there are people in their 70s and older who are still on DLA.

Does anyone know the date the White Paper will be launched? Presumably it will include a draft Bill?
Waiting for the end of the Green Paper consultation period such as it is would have been wiser but they are what they are.

PasserbyPosts: 181 Empowering2:49AM"Keir Starmer has regularly spoken about the importance of Judaism to his family, and has shared that Friday night dinners are a tradition. Shabbat is a “rock in the week,” he has said."
YET Hardie’s present-day successor and namesake, Sir Keir Starmer, is an atheist. He told
The Sunday Times Magazine in 2021: “I am not of faith, I don’t believe in God — but I can see the power of faith and the way it brings people together.”

People also need to know they might only see an MP's representative when they attend a surgery.

@MW123 Ignore my post. I've done some googling and have found the news on Benefits and Work, The Daily Record and the Mirror.
Thank you so much for telling me about this news. 😊
It still doesn't take the misery and worry away from the vast majority of disabled people though. 😞
I will still be campaigning against these vile proposals as I am so deeply concerned about the effects they will have on the working age disabled, including on fellow members of this community, so it's business as usual here for me. 👍

Thank you for your very kind words! 😀
The monarchy and the honours system is all part of why rich, privileged people regardless of whether they are of good character or not are so greatly respected in this very unequal country.
If you are poor or disabled you are considered to be of poor character, a scrounger and fraudulent. This is despite the majority being of good character, genuinely disabled and honest. 😡
I'm certainly not holding my breath for any positive changes in our class culture anytime soon.
