Hi I have many disabilities . and have been on dla and esa but now have received a letter from the benefits office that I have to claim universal credit . But I am unsure about changing over. At the moment my son who lives with me works . But because I got the care part of my dla this didn't affect my rent but now with the new benefits they have charged the care component to only if you get the higher care . So now they could charge me £90 or more a month towards my rent. That's just one thing I have find out. I only get high mobility on my dla my son lives with because he couldn't afford to move out. He also helps me with things I can't do. Has anyone had problems with there benefits.
