Filling out the capability questionaire
Hi,
I'm filling out the capability for work questionnaire. Can I put my mum down as someone who knows my disability. I do not feel like anyone knows my disability very well, even my orthopedic surgeon seems to write down on my letters that I am walking well when its extremely difficult for me.
I have mild CP, I am struggling to walk more than I am used to and I am trying to find a job sitting down either as a Receptionist or admin role but either because I don't have experience or I struggle with interviews, I am turned down. I also have mild learning difficulities so i struggle to focus with too complex work so things like call centre would be too much.
At the moment I do simple admin tasks in a classroom but due to my ankle stress fracture even walking into that job is painful. They are ignoring my occupational health report saying I need to stay in the classroom. I still have not had an MRI which I have been waiting since 24th Feb 2025
At the moment I am pushing myself to work. then wearing my moonboot at home/ or hopping around the house to take wieght off my foot. I can walk up to 100m but it seems doing this repeatedly is causing me problems plus I then need to spend all day at home on my days off to recover. Paracetomol or Ibuprofen does not seem to work and co-codamol has massive sideaffects.
Sometimes I feel like my disability is neither good or bad enough for the right support.

Thank you. I'm not 100% sure I need to do limited Capability. I have an appointment at the job centre, if they can help me find a more suitable job, I might be ok. Its hard finding a job which is suits both my physical and learning difficulty needs as I have a lot less choice.
