Pension Credit

On 5/3/25 I reached state pension age and as a result my ESA inc severe disability premium stopped on 4/3 as has my housing benefit.
I should get my first payment of state pension on 30th April which is a long time to go without receiving any money although I do receive enhanced Pip (both elements). My rent is £690.00

I have applied for Pension Credit and am waiting to hear. However, I have two small private pensions, can I defer one or do I have to cash them both in?

Hi @sheZZa really sorry we've missed this. Have you managed to resolve this in the meantime?

Hi @sheZZa You do not have to take your private pension to claim pension credit. But if you do not do so the system will treat you as if you had bought an annuity
