Hi, my name is UCnewbie! Would my son have assessments after transition to UC?

I'm trying to help my son with his migration to UC from ESA support group.

He was told several years ago that, because he has a degenerative neurological condition, he no longer needed to undergo any medical assessments

My question: will this still be the case when he is on UC ?

Any advice gratefully received

    Hi @UCnewbie, it's my understanding that your son will transition straight into the LCWRA group on Universal Credit.

    He shouldn't need another assessment during his transition but I'm afraid I'm not sure if he'd be subject to reviews eventually. I hope some of our knowledgeable members might have some experience of this that they can share.
