Permitted work
Hi, hoping someone can guide me please. I will be completing a pw1 form for my son. Does anyone know how you record a royalty payment in the section of monthly income after tax. We won’t know how much after tax it would be till he pays his tax bill later in the year if there is tax to pay. My sister is going to sort out his self assessment. He will below the weekly limit and as it’s a royalty payment what do I put where the hours worked as he doesn’t actually work. Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated. Looks like he might have between £60/£90 a week before tax and NI.

Wow @NeuroEve your son must've written quite the hit to be getting that much each week, congratulations to him! I'm afraid this is not something I've been asked before, so cant give a definite answer, but I'll have a hunt around and see if I can find anything.

Hi this won't be a regular weekly payment, it could be that for 1 month and then nothing the next or slightly more. I appreciate any help and info.
