pip mobilty

I currently receive the PIP daily living allowance in full amount and get the PIP mobility standard amount, but my situation has changed drastically. I have chronic pain in both hands, and it's gotten so bad that I cannot use my crutches or 4-wheeled rollator as I can no longer grip them. I have spoken with my doctor, and they are trying to get me a wheelchair.
Should I try to get the higher mobility benefit because I can no longer use my old mobility aids, and this is affecting my mobility, and if I do, what shall I tell them?
Thanks Martin

I'd say if you believe you could score more points and enough to put you into the enhanced mobility tier, it'd be worth asking for a reassessment due to a change in circumstances. But please be warned, they will look at your whole award, not just mobility and your points could go down as well as up.
