UC Review again

Dear All,

I had a UC review last year in Aug 2024 in which they asked bank statement and lots of questions etc. After that they send me a message on jounal that the review is completed and nothing further needed/change. Today I receive another journal message saying that UC is conducting a review and they booked a telephonic appointment. I am confuse, what is going on as I just had one in last year and they started again.

Anyone knows, what is going on and if it is normal?

    A lot of people are being randomly called in for reviews currently, so it may just be a case of bad luck. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. 😊

    thanks for your response.

    I can understand that its random etc but I just had few months ago and they doing it again.

    This is very much confusing.

    Just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same?

    I had two reviews last year. I asked why again and he said every 6 months is expected.. There was no reason to do it again but it was still scary and stressful.

    Just do what you did last year, have your documents ready. Let them ask the questions they need to ask and give short answers so it will be over quickly!

    It is not an assessment, just fact-checking. Try to relax.

    I was just wondering, did they request bank statements again? Are they asking the same questions as last time?

    I left a reply in my journal asking for the reason behind this and informed them that I had a review completed a few months ago. I'm still waiting to hear back.

    Does the journal message mention UCR (Universal Credit Review)? If so, that's a different team and they won't communicate with you until the telephone call. The work coach - if you have one - won't know anything about it.

    I wasn't asked to produce bank statements for my UCR appointments. That sounds like an identity check appointment.

    During my first appointment with UCR in August 2024, I was told to provide identity documents and a bank statement. Additionally, I had interviews regarding various assets, such as stock shares and other items. I'm not certain if this time it is specifically for identity verification or something else.

    Both of your last year UCR was for identity only or one for identity and other for financial and identity?

    Two UCR telephone calls for financial, all cleared. Later in the year an ID verification appointment at JCP because I can't upload documents myself.

    They are testing our compliance and perhaps training up their agents. There's no real reason for targeting the same claimants is there?

    they called today for UCR and asked for ID and bank statements.

    Would they usually call again after the documents for second interview?
