Withdrawing money and bank checks/review

Some people like to withdraw large amounts of money each month to spend on things. I'm wondering what do you say when you have a bank check/review and are asked why don't you just use your card to buy things instead?

Most people will say drawing out cash helps them budget.

But this is a bit of a grey area. If it can't be proven that large amounts of money regularly drawn out were spent (using receipts etc) then that could trigger a deeper investigation.

what do you think they would consider large amounts, I draw money out and am worried in case they review me again, last review I had they asked about cash withdrawals and I told them for groceries, shopping etc

Not sure I could put a specific figure on it unfortunately. For example, someone with a partner & kids would obviously be expected to spend a lot more on groceries than a single person. It will just be down the the person doing the review as to how much cash would raise their suspicion.

As you've already had one review where cash withdrawals weren't an issue, the next will probably be the same, unless you started drawing out much larger amounts.

I would of thought they are looking for large amounts coming in not so much going out ie thousands .

They are looking for people withdrawing cash and hiding it to keep them below the £6000 savings limit.
