What happens if you need care, but your relatives die?

HI,
I'm not sure where I should post this question. I'm sure it's a situation most have thought about, and some experienced.
I'm currently bedbound due to my disabilities. My parents have been helping me survive daily. But now my Mum as been ill for a couple of years and my Dad is getting old, the question of what would happen to me if my Dad wasn't around? I wouldn't be able to survive on my own. Mum is bedbound too and is on a lot of treatments.
So I'm wondering what happens the day your relatives are no longer there to help? What do I do? What help is there available? If this happened to you what was your experience?
Thanks.

A referral would be made to Adult Services, they would assess your needs and then put a care plan into place to meet those needs.
This would most likely involve up to 4 care visits a day, or residential care if that wouldn't meet your needs, but this is generally a last resort especially if you aren't self funding because care homes are very expensive for the local authority to pay for.

Consider also whether you might meet tge criteria for NHS Continuing Healthcare:
This is no means-tested. However, you would lose PIP were you to move into residential care.
