WCA call didnt happen
Hello All,
My WCA call was due today at 13.15. I was ready and prepared by 13.00. The call from on 0800 number came at 13.11 by a lady called Yasmine. She asked if I was still happy to go ahead with the assessment and I said "yes, I am ready and waiting". She said she would pass me to a Practitioner who would go through my form with me then I would be passed back to her. I said thank you and speak to you soon. I awaited the call to be transferred to Practitioner but a few seconds later the call disconnected. I waited 10 minutes thinking they would realise the call had disconnected and call back but they didn't, so I called the 0800 number back at 13.21 and got the message "we tried to call you but you weren't available, we will try again later". This is not true, I answered the call and said yes I am available to proceed.
I messaged my UC Journal at 14.07 to give an update and say I didn't miss the call it was disconnected. I was advised they have nothing to do with the Assessment Team (fair enough I just wanted it noted) and to call another 0800 number which I did immediately. After going through my NI number and some personal details I reiterated what happened. The man said he wasn't sure what happened but would raise the issue and ask for someone from the Assessement Team to call me back. Again I reiterated my concerns saying I was feeling very anxious and didn't know what was happening and I had been waiting and prepared since 13.00. Again he said he would raise the issue and request a call back.
So, I have no idea when I will get a call back and I have no idea if I will even get my WCA today as arranged. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Hi,
Sorry to hear this, it has always happened with a few cases but does seem to be happening more often lately.
All you can do now is wait for another appointment to be sent to you. They're very busy at the moment so it could even be several weeks away.

That sounds very frustrating @A_Z1961. Hopefully you hear back from them soon so you can get this done. 😊

Same happened to me. They hoped I would give up. I made complaints and was awarded £100 consolatory compensation.

UPDATE: Hi All, sorry for delay in responding. My new appt came through quickly and I have my phone appt on 23rd June. I think it went well, let's hope so.
I now have my ADP/pip form (Scottish version). This has to be back by 18th August. I phoned CAB for help appt (used them for UC50 form and they were brilliant.) Everything was going fine, man went to look for appt and came back with one. It was then he started pushing me to use Social Security Scotland. It said in the letter I received with form I could use CAB. He gave me my appt but again pushed me to use SSS. In a confirmation email again he reiterated using SSS. I've never used them before only CAB so I'm not sure if they'd be a help or a hindrance. Surely CAB Scotland would be fully up to date with ADP procedures. Has anyone here had experience with ADP and/or Social Security Scotland in regards to filling out these forms?
I'm now awaiting to hear how I got on with WCA and hope to get lwrca . Then I'll push on with ADP/pip.
Thanks!
