Hi, I've been off work sick since October, I'm now getting Lcwra and have just got a letter to say I'm getting esa. How do I know if I'm in the support group as it doesn't say on the letter. The esa letter says I will have to fill in a WCA, does this mean they don't already know I'm getting Lcwra?

Your story is not quite clear.

Have you gone through a Work Capability Assessment, to start with?

    Hi,

This sounds like a standard letter. If you already have LCWRA on UC then that status will be carried over into New Style ESA as well.

NS ESA starts on a basic rate during the assessment phase, and increases to £281.10 a fortnight if you are put into the Support Group.
