Hi , I’ve claimed u/c from the 10th December 2024 handed in sick notes from date of claim. I had been off work since 4th October 2024 uc accepted these notes also. I had my assessment for lcwra on the 30th April 2025 got my letter on the 20th May 2025 to say I have been awarded. They are saying my award starts from the 30th April and I have to wait 3 months before payment which would be September. My work coach has asked for a mandatory reconsideration I am now worried they don’t just look at the payment date but change my whole award can this happen. Thanks

    I wouldn't worry about this. I assume that your work coach has made it clear that you aren't asking to be assessed again but just for the date of the payments to be corrected. I have supported two people in similar situations and both cases were resolved quickly.

    Thanks for your reply Lauren. I have just looked back all my sick notes I had an 18 day gap due to trying to return to work and was put off again. So this is possibly why I have the wait again.

    also after she said she was doing this she also got me to confirm income for two of the months. She said she was doing an earnings check.
