I read online from a few sources there is a one off payment boost for people on PIP towards the end of June but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. Is this correct? Says one off cost of living payment £750. I have attached link of source below

'

The DWP’s decision to roll out a £750 one-off cost-of-living payment in June 2025 is a response to persistent inflation, rising rents, and energy costs, which continue to stretch the budgets of low-income and vulnerable households.'

Thanks in advance

@ronaldo89 Please do NOT give your card or bank details as these are total SCAMS and to note there is no extra payments from this government. If there's any payments from the DWP they will write to you and will never ask you for any card or banks details in either texts, emails or over the phone.

    Don't get scammed.

These are not real @ronaldo89. These websites are all over the place at the moment and it's incredibly misleading. I've just popped up an announced post about them here:

Beware scams and misleading headlines! No new cost of living payments planned for this year

Sorry to disappoint, it's incredibly frustrating that these websites are getting people's hopes up when so many are struggling.

ronaldo89, I saw that as well and I also thought it was genuine. It didn't ask for bank details and on the website page I saw it advised the payment would be made directly starting 20th June 2025 to 30th June 2025, if you're eligible.

The thought never occurred to me it was fake, as it didn't ask for bank details and just stated if eligible, it would go straight in to your account, without you having to do anything.

That's very disappointing to hear it's fake, as I could really use that extra money just now and I had things I needed earmarked for that money.

I kept the webpage opened as a tab on my phone, but when I went back to it, it has subsequently disappeared. So many of us could have used that extra money.
