LWCRA and approaching Retirement Age

Hi all,
I had my Work Capability Assessment for Universal Credit on 16 June 2025. I submitted my first fit note around 29 April 2025 and have been continuously providing them since.
I turn 66 on 19 July 2025 and will reach State Pension age then. I’ve heard that as long as LCWRA is awarded before my 66th birthday, I will continue receiving it afterwards — even beyond pension age — as long as I stay on UC.
Is that correct?
Thanks for all your help.

Hi @howarth59 and welcome to the community.
That's correct, if a claimant is already receiving LCWRA before they reach State Pension age, they will continue to receive it after they turn 66.0 -
Hi, thanks for the welcome and the feedback.
Much appreciated.0 -
OK, but if you're a mixed couple, where the partner is 15 years off state pension age, then the UC carries on, is that right?
