If you are with Universal Credit what discount do they offer?

Hi @ruqiyah07, welcome to the community. What kind of discounts do you mean?

Some people on Universal Credit are eligible for free prescriptions, dental care and eye care:

HWHC - Universal Credit | NHSBSA

I've also seen some museums, gardens, theatres and cinemas offering discounted tickets for people on Universal Credit. So it's worth checking their websites if you're planning to go somewhere ☺️

Hope you'll enjoy being part of the community!

Yes, I know about eye care and prescriptions.

I didn't know about the cinema. I have checked their website, as they don't do anything in my area. They don't give offers for cinema tickets. I will call the box office and find out more.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice very much! 😁

Also, is there more to it as Universal Credit gives more offers or discount?

Hey there I wanted to ask a question I'm on ESA but applied for UC but wasn't mandatory I done ut yet. Can I close my UC claim and just stay on my ESA until they send me the letter? Or is my ESA going to stop after 2 weeks?

It sounds as if you were on ESA and then applied for Universal Credit before you received a Managed Migration Notice. Do you know whether you were on Income related ESA or Contribution based?

If it was just income related ESA this would run on for to weeks and then stop. You can't close your UC claim and claim Income Related ESA.
