apparently my support worker had to close her support? Because of new government rules and apparently my disability doesn’t get accepted? What a joke…

it’s beyond depressing and upsetting, I have a learning disability and if I got put into work tomorrow I wouldn’t go, I’d get anxious I’d kick off and probably have a tantrum because I am simply not ready.
dud to my anxiety and learning disability. honestly this country is a complete joke.. prices going up… people coming over for free getting free help, while people like us get treated like dirt..

So I went to all those appointments with my support worker for absolutely nothing? Wasting my time…

it’s not just that. It’s just the entire country I am annoyed with. It just seems depressing to be living here. I’m sorry if I sound rude. I am just stressed and upset. The country doesn’t seem to be getting better….

@rylegg im so sorry to hear that your feeling that i know it is frustrating isn't it? I dont understand why they have closed your support its clear you need it to me its hard for us as it is without having the government piling the pressure on us. As the for the work situation I myself have a disability but my more physical CP. What disgusts me about this government is how we're treated they're taking things away that we need to survive I.e benefits. If they want disabled into work why not look at those are intentionally not getting a job and permanently on the sick and for what? I too would love to work but sadly my career was taken the minute I was born. Stay strong @rylegg and focus on the positive side. You have friends here like me who can rely on dont let those rich idiots stop you! Sending you a big hug right now at this difficult time

I really appreciate this! And yes it’s very sickening how the government is treating us! I don’t understand why they closed it, but oh well! I’ll try! And the same goes to u!

What the government should do, as a Labour government especially, is to increase taxes of the rich, stop paying huge bonuses to shareholders, get companies to invest in education, training, reintroduce apprenticeship and restart nurses bursaries!

Sorry to read of your issues Ryleyyg.

Do you have a social worker involved?

    And/or a mental health advocate?

I'd encourage you to consider both if not.

Unfortunately anxiety can be one of the most subtle hidden disabilities to demonstrate when filling in complicated government forms.

Advocates would be my first go to. They often know how the system works and may be able to help you clear up exactly why they're changing your support, and if that's suitable for you.

    Good luck
