Punch kick for being so quick!

We're due 24 here today I think, though my room thermometer still says 27. It was 28 last night when I went to bed. Not pleasant.

Still, glad to not be in the south east. 33 degrees? No thanks.

To be fair, a much as I hate the heat (you'll never hear me complain it's too cold!) I do enjoy how summer looks!

    And thank you ❤️

I picked a bad day to start back, my laptop isn't enjoying the heat either!!

haha I used to love how many come backs to it there were, I'd follow that with "poke in the eye for being so sly"

But yeah, melting bad. It's not even close to the hottest part of the day!!

@Amberpearl I'm so jealous!!! It's 30 in my house right now, a bit cooler outside but then I'd be outside… lol

I'm in the South East so really suffering, it's so stuffy too, like there's no air and just feel damp!

I feel that!! I wonder if we're quite close as I've got similar temperatures here!!!

Are you okay with windows open and do you get much through air?

Me too @Remina 🤣 I'd much sooner have air con and be cool all summer and not have heating in winter

Remember folks, only open the curtains/windows/doors if the outside temperatures are cooler than inside. Otherwise it's better to keep everything closed.

And please stay safe and hydrated! ❤️

I saw that if you put a wet blanket in front of a fan it creates a much cooler enviroment instead of bashing around warm air…tempted to give it a go, anybody tried that before?

Haven't heard the "pinch, punch" line for years. 😂

It is sweltering here! Really grateful for my fan! Hope you're all keeping ok today. Plenty of water 💛

I haven't seen the wet blanket one but seen one saying put a glass of ice water behind the fan and tried that, it was definitely cooler but very very short lived, less than half hour I think!

I put a wet towel on top of my head then around my neck made sure not to pull too tightly 😉😅 . It was really for dogs but they didn't want it. Was very soothing but had high temperature too (pnuemonia 🙄). Don't know what temperature it is as no thermometer in room but fan on. Roll on autumn.

My main window is south facing so there's no point opening that during the day. I do have it open in the evenings though. It's not too bad in here around dusk with the window open, there is usually a bit of a breeze. But unfortunately the heat has soaked into the building now. So as soon as I close the window the room temp goes above 30c again.
