Can my daughter claim carer element for me? Or will I lose anything from my money?

Wanting to no if my daughter claims the carers element for me will I lose the anything from my is I do get the extra money

    If you are claiming UC, then your daughter claiming the carer element for caring for you should not impact your money from UC.

    If your daughter claims the carer element for looking after you, it won’t reduce your existing UC entitlement, it simply adds extra support for her role as a carer. You’ll continue to receive your UC as normal, while she gets the additional payment. It’s similar to using an attendance calculator to track who’s present, her claim just records her caring role without taking away from your side. Always double-check with UC guidance or a benefits advisor to be sure.
