I take it, it's a no!
Hi all
I called the DWP today for an update on a new pip claim. The guy told me a decision had been made yesterday, he couldn't tell me what, but a letter has gone out in the post. I assume based on this, I haven't been awarded as most people get a text message, and when they call the DWP, get an automated message with their next payment.
Thanks

Hi @JasmineBell, it's difficult to say for sure either way but I wouldn't imagine they'd only text successful claimants. Especially since the text is just a notification of the decision and doesn't specify whether it's successful or not. Sorry, that's not much of an answer, but I wouldn't be too disheartened at this point. Fingers crossed you receive your letter soon.

Is this your first claim, not that it matters. The DWP don't tell you what their decision is over the telephone normally, but have done on the odd occasion. The decision letter can take two weeks. I can't comment on the text message as I never got them. The automated line is not always accurate. Try again at a later date. I know it is an awful time waiting, but try and keep calm. Please keep us informed if you want to and we will help where we can.

hi the same has happened to me, I phoned today and the enquiry line said a decision had been made but they can’t see the result, I haven’t had a text message either , the decision was made 29th July and other forums state if enquiry line can’t see decision that is why you haven’t received text message , does anybody know if this is true

Claimants don't always get a text.
You will receive a letter informing you of the outcome.

Hi you could also set-up an online account, I'm not sure if this will work with new claims, but for people already claiming they can log in and see that statement and payment dates online. It's the gov.uk website get proof of benefits I think it's called, if you've been awarded it will show on a letter online
