in Start here and say hello!

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can tell me that if I sell my house, how long are the proceeds disregarded for. Apart from a new house purchase can I pay for alterations, repairs, carpets, curtains, furniture and if possible a newish car, due to disabilities I really need an automatic.
