Nightmare migration esa to uc update

The so called " easy migration from esa to uc" saga still conts. Had forms completed for us, as we are a mixed age couple. The ID process as been a farce, passed but still needed a home visit, told by UC no idea how long it would take. So I was advised to contact MP & local welfare benefit officers, which I did. Eventually have our ID home visit proof booked for 22nd July. The man rang 7pm on Monday to confirm what ID he wanted, we couldnt chose.

So lets hope this all goes ok, but my gut feeling tells me something else will go wrong & I dont believe for one second my payments will stay the same with the so called "trans protection" or whatever its called. I started this nightmare in March by collating all info & now in July.

Absolutely dreading Tuesday & what follows, as so far its been one nightmare.

Just want it over with. I will have a 3rd party ( support worker) present, as my trust in this process as long gone.

@Tillyboo I keep picturing different scenarios and Yes I don't think it will be easy. It works pretty much on computer says no. I had the phonecall and after a few questions. Of course Computer said no. So I have to go now in person. And I just hope computer will say yes as I don't like all these. I do not believe there will be anything positive with the move.. maybe I will be lucky enough to get the same money. But I will see ... It should be automatic. They know all the details. I find it so unfair. Many people find all this very daunting but still they don't care. . I hope it will be ok and all gets sorted. As for myself I will now next week. But I am very negative so I smell trouble.....

You were very lucky & wouldnt wish what myself & my husband recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, have gone through.

Just because you sailed/breezed through this "migration" well done to you, but please dont comment to me like I am some dim wit making this up. All forms filled in correctly, ID proven over phone.

As one of the comments posted below suggested, read all my posts before making assumptions about me & yes its been a nightmare & a farce whether you agree or not.

Hope you have a lovely day & can relax as your migration was a breeze.....

    @Passerby

    I give up!

    All info was given correctly.

Havent the energy nor inclination to keep explaining myself.

You are one of the lucky ones, if you take the time to go through & read the amount of people on variois help sites, you'll see the difficulties people are having.

But good for you that all went well for you......

You might want to read OP's other threads to see all the difficulties they have faced

Passerby, we should know when to stop talking.

    You are being extremely insensitive.

I really hope all goes ok for you, as I know exactly how you're feeling. Hopefully they'll be an end to it all soon & we can relax.

I had to involve my local MP & was lucky ( for want of a better word) to have 3 welfare benefits officers, all contacting DWP/UC to find out what was going on. I think maybe their involvement got our home visit quick, rather than the wait I was originally quoted.

Take care & wish you well...

@Tillyboo I hope I do not need to get that far .. hopefully the evidence will speak for itself. So far it is only evidence to check my identity.. so I hope it will be enough...
