Do you drink water?
I have been trying to up my fluid intake and I was discussing this with a friend who recalled an article claiming that "one in three people go without drinking any water at all throughout the day".
I was surprised by the stat, do people not get thirsty?
So, do you drink water? If not, what do you drink instead?

We're all terrible for not drinking water in this house. So much so we bought a small whiteboard, so we could track our glasses of water throughout the day.
We're definitely a lot more hydrated now, mainly because my sister is super competitive and now has to drink more water than me. 😆1 -
I only drink water. Still not as much as I should though!

I go through phases of what I like to drink but I know overall I haven't been drinking enough.
Im currently under tier 3 weight management and my first focus is to drink more so that 2L target a day is a thing I'm now trying to do. It's the constant needing a wee that annoys me as my kidneys adapt XD

35 years ago the spinal injuries unit suggested I drink 3 litres a day. I usually drink more than that.
I always have four of the cordials I like available to add some flavour.
I've had one bladder infection in my time as a wheelchair user, I caught that in a hospital. I'm confident my fluid intake helps with that.

I never used to drink plain water, always had some flavoured cordial in it. Now, I only drink water, apart from two coffees in the evening.
Ironically, in the night & today, I've been very weird (more than usual) & not altogether with it, odd dizziness, stumbly, thirsty, crampy, sweating, headache, could fall asleep on a razor blade & been sick, then realised I've had heat exhaustion, even though I've upped my water levels. Thankfully only have the headache left, so will be upping my water intake again. Had to today, as all I puked up was water!! 🤣

It has been with the hot spells we've been enjoying, no catheter needed either. Hardly pee'd really & that's with constantly filling my water bottle.
You've had some heat up there, so, amazed you've gone through fine, @Ranald, made off tougher stuff, eh? 😁

Ohh you're a proper north of Yorkshire northerner!!!

I've had an aversion to water ever since my forestry contractor days. Drinking lovely sparkling stream water … very refreshing
… until I went 30 yards up stream and saw the dead sheep swimming 🤑

After a couple weeks the kidneys calm down lol

@Ranald … been years since I've had one of them 🤩
Tennent's Extra … I've made a couple of wrong choices after that stuff
The only legacy my father left me was his alcoholism. I'm a strictly zero person now.
Madri zero … that is lovely. The day they make a Newcastle Brown Ale zero I'll do roly poly's down the supermarket aisle. I won't be able to get up again but hey
Awful thought … not doing that in case someone gives me water 😝

That very much depends on how long the can's been left open for @Ranald but I think I'll just stick with water. 😆

@Ranald … I remember McEwan's export and partook in a few in the 80's
Uck at the Scotch ever since my father said he'd give me 50 pence if I drank the Bell's cap of it .. talk about conditioning your kids, I think I was 10 … but a bottle of Courvoirsier Cognac was a different story in my later days
Back on the water (not likely) Sparkling Water. The Devil's Tonic … who wants spicy water 🤑 … would rather risk the sheep again 😏

I don't drink enough so this has just given me the kick I need. Although, my tap water does have a funny taste sometimes so I might have to get some bottled water.
