Hi, my name is merlin1944! How long will it take to receive my back pay and 1st payment?

Hello my tribunal was yesterday 30/07/25 and award letter posted on online account stating appeal allowed and I had been award 8 points care standard rate and 12 points mobility enhanced rate.
How long will it take to receive my back pay and 1st payment, I started claim in January 2024 so i am owed substantial back pay probably over £10,000.
Will my back dated payments be split into two payments?
When will I receive notification from DWP, if I ring today will they able to tell me when I will receive funds? Do you have the number to call please?
Many thanks Merlin1944

It usually takes up to 8 weeks for DWP to process the Tribunal Decision, calculate and pay arrears plus start the monthly payment award.
You can contact PIP on 0800 121 4433 but today is most likely too soon for them to answer your questions with any certainty.

Thanks very much, there is a minefield of information on the Web.
It states everything from 2 weeks to 4 months to receive back pay so I will wait a couple of weeks at least before I chase with DWP.

Two weeks will be from a decision from the DWP, yours is from a Tribunal.
