Hi, my name is BryanH! Having problems fitting 50 amp batteries to Salsa Quickie 300 M

Hello, I was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis some 12 years ago. This has left me with general weakness an with severe mobility issues.

I now use a large scooter, a folding scooter and a power chair.

The chair is a Salsa Quickie 300 M.

It came with 36amp batteries and I am having trouble fitting the recommended 50 amp ones. Any ideas as to why they won’t fit?

    2 x 50 amp batteries are specified. The refurbished I bought the power chair from only provided 2 x 36 amp ones which are too small for my hilly locality.

    The batteries should fit, but so far we have struggled to get them in.

    Sadly there are no mobility repairers close by.
