Hi @jazmine19 sorry you haven't heard back yet. You're able to self certificate for 7 day's and then your employer might choose to request a sick note. I've added a link which might be helpful to you - Statutory Sick Pay: employee fitness to work - GOV.UK

Hi Jazmine, i have just received my ssp1 from my employer as i have been off myself now for 30 weeks, I am still getting full pay as my contract with my employer whom i have worked for nearly 40 years gives me a years sick contractual sick pay in total, so in my case I will continue to send fit notes, i guess it would depend if your circumstances are similar to mine, if you are in any doubt, speak to your HR dept.
