    Hello George and welcome

Unfortunately you are right, many people are being failed by the system.
Good luck with your appeal, there is plenty of good info on here and the CAB site about the process.
It is very tempting to react to the lies and assumptions but this will not get you the award you deserve.
Your job now is to show that you meet the criteria for an award.
How far are you into your appeal process ?

I’ve got the support of my local MP on this issue
iv sent more info to the appeals courts via emails and proof that they have lied on many of the report notes
im still awaiting news as now it’s gone to the chief judge as a matter of urgency via the House of Commons by my local MP

    Hi all
i do have one question that I hope someone will know about
is it not the fact that the DWP need to contact your doctor/ consultants directly to ask how my disabilities affects me
as why when I changed over from DLA to PIP they asked for my doctors/ consultants phone numbers and addresses
i think they know it cost quite a lot of money to do this which is not in their interest
l don’t know other than myself how my disabilities affects me
    would you agree !

The DWP would not contact your GP it would be the AP that may but they are not required to do so. Even if they do many GP's fail to reply and in the case of PIP their response is usually of little use as most GP's don't have knowledge of your daily functionality.
It is usually more productive to discuss this with your GP and if possible get a letter specific to the PIP descriptors. Even so this is usually ignored in favour of the HCP report.
