Eligibility for back payment and when your LCWRA element starts depends on when UC start your waiting period from.

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your payment. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period. This usually starts from the date of the first Fit Note after you reported the health condition that triggered the WCA process.

I'm going to suggest contacting a trained benefits advisor, as working out when your waiting period may have started from would be difficult to advise on from here based on the information you've given.

It all depends on when UC start your waiting period from when working out eligibility for back payment.

From the information you've given it's not clear enough for me to advise on with any confidence, which is why I suggested contacting a trained benefits advisor.

I will say that any backpay is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least.

If that is the case, you'll know when that has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed. Payment will then be made within a few working days.
