Change in Conditions and Calling to Inform PIP

Hi all
I was awarded PIP for the first time back in December 2024 and since then, my mobility has worsened quite significantly so I'm considering contacting PIP for a reassessment.
I'm unsure wether to do this however, as I'm worried that my payments will stop whilst they look at my assessment? I cannot risk this happening as I rely on my PIP to get me through the month.
Can anyone who has done this please advise me on the process?
Thanks so much in advance

Hi @VxckiLouise, welcome to the community.
Your normal PIP award will continue to be paid until you receive a new decision. So once you put in for your change of circumstances, they'll send through the review forms for you to fill in. Once those have been looked at, you may be invited for a new assessment where they'll ask about your conditions. Only once you receive the decision on this, will the money change to reflect your new award. There shouldn't be any gaps in your payments.
Hope your reassessment goes smoothly if that's what you decide to do ☺️
