Everything I've read on the subject is that the government are developing systems … GOV One is an example but have no plans to make it mandatory. Not sure how they could with Article 8 of Human rights Act … rights to privacy etc.
Our records are held by so many agencies I'm not sure I'm overly concerned either way.
The same as the National Identity Card fell by the wayside
I must admit if I see Facial Recognition Camera I cover my face for the hell of it just to wind them up 😁
