🔥 Winter Warm Home Discount - £150 off electricity bill for recipients of means-tested benefits

closed but reopens in October 2025, you automatically qualify in the uk, however in Scotland you have to physically apply and you can contact your energy supplier0 -
My husbands name is on the electric bill , mine isn't but we are both on the universal credit claim . Also we recently moved does that mean we no longer qualify for the winter warm home discount ?

Hi @sarah_lea12 it will depend on whether or not you're on means tested benefits. You could always contact your supplier to enquire. 😊

Did they announce this on the 20th and say 24th is the cutoff date for being named on a bill?
Thats a bit tight. Luckily I am on mine as I live alone anyway.

No the 20th is when Holly made her post. It was announced nationally quite a few months ago.

durhamjaide, if that text was from your energy supplier then it's probably genuine. It should be paid automatically if it was last time.
