Hi @mandy18a,
There's some more in-depth information about LCWRA and what this means on this page and also a more brief summary of this information here.
There's also a past discussion about LCWRA and whether this affects other benefits, and a response from a Benefits Advisor, that can be found on this thread. I hope this helps. -
Hi no i had pip assesment and week after had LCWRA got knocked back on pip but got awarded for an LCWRA it doesnt make sense
-
The two benefits separate so one will not affect the other. You have your LCWRA so you can concentrate on appealing PIP.
The first stage is to request the assessors report, this will show you the descriptors that you have to challenge. Then ask for an MR you have a month from the date of your letter to do this.
come back with any questions and we will do our best to help

Hi cockneyRebel it does not make sense as both assesments are nearlly the same
-
I know that it seem ridiculous but common sense and the DWP don't mix.
Although the assessment seem similar, the criteria for each benefit is different and handled by different departments.
Have you asked for the assessment report ?
Have you got the PIP decision letter,
if so what is the date ?

The PIP report is what you need to challenge.
You need to understand the points scoring system, the descriptors and the criteria for an award.
There is great info on here and on the CAB site abuot appealing
Can you get f2f advice from CAB or similar ?
Have a look at the self test on the B&W site to get an idea of what is required
