Anyone got a folding Zimmer frame?

Hi - I’m thinking of buying a folding Zimmer frame but want to find out how solid and robust they are. I use a wheelchair or scooter to mobilise outdoors but depend on a Zimmer to get around in my house. My standard Zimmer frame is the perfect support for me as I can’t walk independently at all. I want a folding one to take with me on a holiday in the UK. The folding would make the frame more easily transportable. But I don’t want it to be too flimsy as it needs to support my full weight. Does anyone know anything about these or have experience of using one? Thanks in anticipation.

I have a Byacre Overland, but if I had known it would eventually be used indoors, I would have got the even lighter Byacre Ultralight.

Mine's great. I don't notice any difference to a solid one but now I can transport it easily. Enjoy your holidays. Where do you plan to go?

Galdriver - I haven’t been on holiday for 6 years because of a string of failed surgeries and post operative complications. This will be my first holiday as a wheelchair user so it’s a trial run. I live alone and have booked a hotel with an accessory room in Weston super Mare. Thanks for the advice. It sounds promising.

Ranaid - thanks for the tip. I’ll only use it indoors so I’ll look into buying.

I use a Rollator (on wheels), so it's much easier to move around than a Zimmer. It folds to get through small spaces, just pull it up (my kitchen door is really narrow- old building), so you can then unfold it and sit on it like a perch stool in any room. It has changed my life. You can get some for heavier people. Try Mobility+. Or essential aids.

thanks. I don’t think I can manage the wheeled roll at or as it moves too fast. It’s not that I’m especially heavy. The zimmer works for me. But thanks for replying
