in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi can someone help me out please, I've just received my notification I've been awarded LCWRA, the thing is in the note on my journal there was no explanation of backdated payment or dates, is this normal do they send that at a different time or is it usually in with the awards notice.

    Hey @Peggy0011 congratulations on the award, that must be a big weight off your mind?

    With regard to payments etc, there's usually no backpay and the award will start on the 4th full payment cycle from when the fit note was given, assuming there were no breaks in your fit notes?

    Thank you for yoir reply, my first fit note was submitted in February 2025 upto present date with no gaps, I received my award notice this morning, does this still mean there will be no back pay as I thought they backdated it for 3 months

    LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

    What date did you report the health condition?

    What date was your first Fit Note?

    Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes, any that were backdated etc? It is the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.

    Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA, or have Transitional Protection on your claim?

    Finally what is your UC assessment period or payment date?

    Hi my assessment dates are 5th to the 8th and I'm paid on the 12th every month,

    My first fit note was submitted in February 2025 and I was awarded lcwra yesterday 27th August

    There has been no breaks in my fit note they've been continues

    I reported a change in health back in September 2024 but only went off sick in February 2025

    What date exactly was your first Fit Note handed in to UC?

    Could you check your AP & payment date please as they don't seem correct.
