UC extension of migration notice

I am in a mixed age couple partnership. We have had our UC migration notice for the 19th July. Sadly my partner is terminally ill and having chemotherapy and generally very very ill. I would like just a few extra weeks to migrate after the 19th so he can complete some of his treatment
I phoned today and they said to phone about 7 days before the 19th July. Would that sound correct? To be honest I wanted to do it then to allow for a letter to cone through etc. Just to ensure it's in writing

I'm so sorry you didn't get a response to this at the time @Moonlady. I can see from a more recent post this has been completed now. I hope you were able to gain the extension and your husband is doing ok.

I managed to get an extension they phoned me up and I explained the situation. And it was granted
Just waiting for the first statement now.....hoping the transitional protection is ok
