re disabled facilities grant, does any one have or know how the amounts or calculated for your contribution?

following a recent leg amputation I applied for the grant & thé calculation told me that I would have to put £46,000.
I don’t earn any where near this amount and no savings near this , Any help or support would be appreciated.

I have asked my council how they have got my contribution to any work as £46,000 and they can’t tell me how they arrive at this figure, I don’t earn this à year or have any savings near this amount either!
