Another sleepless night!

I was on high rate mobility and med rate car of DLA for about 25 yrs, until I was required to do the dreaded Solus 'interview'. That removed all of the mobility component although care stayed about the same I think.

But there was also the ESA to be taken into consideration now, appealing the Solus findings I got a call at home yesterday from DWP asking if I could come in for an exam over the next two days at 9.00 pm. As thats rush hour I asked if another time was possible and was told they would get me one over the next few weeks.I explained that I had just done an exam and was told that I must do this one too and they had been planning this since January?

The worrying part is that a friend who had just done the Solus appeal and won, was then declared fit to work by the DWP exam, how the hell does that work ?????
Mind working over time, I was mulling over my last CT scan the other day, I saw my GP also that morning and he hadnt ordered a CT scan!  Would DWP order a CT scan without telling me?

Last scan some months ago looked ok'ish till they did the 'dye' thing, which displayed a nice shiny tumour on my adrenaline gland, which my GP did know about, its not exactly something you can fake is it?

Am I just being DWP paranoid now???

    Hi Bill
Yes you are being DWP paranoid :)

PIP and ESA are different benefits and it is entirely possible to receive PIP at enhanced rate and still hold down a full time job, many people do.

I doubt very much whether the DWP could order a CT scan
    a0 they couldn't spell it
    b) they can be bothered to contact GP's most of the time

Got a call from my GP last night, DWP had called the surgery regarding me, as you would expect. My GP feels that they have taken his comments on board this time and was under the impression that they were no longer interested in me.

    Letter of dread today!
One sheet stating to turn up for std rubber hose and anglepoise lamp routine, PLUS another stating to disregard that and that they wont be looking at me to change ESA! (thanks Doc!)

This whole palaver makes it so obvious that you cannot treat peoples lives and right to benefits as a 'business'! More so when those doing the examinations are more akin to camp guards and Mengele that Schweitzer. I dont say that lightly either as those of us with depression and anxiety disorders will be only too familiar with going through all this.

Before my life took a dive, I was the outdoor type, shooting fishing hill walking etc. Im also ex-forces and was TA when it all went south. Had it stayed good, I would have gulf veteran. Ive always 'paid my stamp' and my taxes, so to stand and be  treated worse than a criminal is outrageous.

Were I a moslem: you cant say anything cos its religious discrimination.
Ex prisoner: Im due a clean slate and all the help going.
Phony asylum seeker:see above re religious discrimination.

All of the above groups are due respect and help in legit cases only, its just not right to have UK born and bred held up as some sort of social whipping boy, not to mention as fodder for Ch5 Poverty Porn!

NB: To make it plain I dont 'hate' anyone, not Jews or Moslems because I dont KNOW any! Same with Africans, Arabs and Asians...I dont KNOW any!
Im certainy not better than anyone, but Im no worse or less deserving of help because of my demographic.

    (rant over)

Latest CAT says my kidney tumour is no change.

Reminds me of the Monty Python 'dead parrot' sketch...."Its not dead, its only resting.....beautiful colour the adrenal gland innit" :o
