I'm happy, as I was worried & nervous about what neighbours I would get after my last one, a lovely elderly lady, who went down hill with dementia because of a UTI & couldn't return home after breaking her hip in hospital, poor love. Anyway, a couple with a little daughter moved in & after a dodgy start because they hated the feral pigeons & seemed to think they were mine. πŸ€” Happily, they've turned out to be very sweet & have now taken to cooking me meals & or puds. He did call me elderly backalong!! 😲 🀣

Today, I popped around to return a plate & bowl from the last couple of days, plus two parcels I had taken in for them & their daughter said "We were just coming to you, as dad has been cooking". So, dinner tonight was a hot homemade bowl of tomato & rice soup delivered to my kitchen, which he explained, Polish always have rice or pasta in their tommy soup. It was delicious, the rice spiked my BG, but it wasn't something I could pick out. πŸ˜† it was certainly a hearty soup. I'm actually a foodie & I love trying different things, now I'm learning about Polish foods & loving it. 😎 I am very lucky! It was his birthday yesterday & I had bought him an apron & toque, as the only thing I know about him, is, he likes to cook! πŸ˜„ His wife bakes, so they're a good match. 😁

As the forecast is pretty rotten, yep, I totally agree, Chris. I'm confined to barracks now until Big Bertha gets her new motor, as the lightweight is dodgy in the dry & although I'm already in a chair, I don't want to commit hari cari by slipping out in front of some poor driver. Do hope there will be a few rainbows to look out at though.

It is very sweet of them @Rosie_Scope. Disappointed nothing arrived today πŸ˜‰
