Advice regarding permitted work number of hours whilst receiving PIP and ESA

Hi all

Ive been reading the permitted work form and info sheet that goes with and googling for hours and I can't find this scenario covered, so reaching out to see if anyone has come across this.

Ive not worked for number of years now, due to several disabilities. I'm receiving PIP and ESA currently (support group) but want to try getting back to work. I've been struggling to find something under 16 hours.

Ive been offered job, but it's 18 hours per week (school term times only), so if I average over the year, it's quite a bit less than 16 hours per week.

Also the salary is paid monthly and is paid all year round and I think the weekly average is below the maximum 195 that can be earned.

Do you think DWP will accept averaging over a 12 month period? I've read you look for a repeating pattern and average over that, and this pattern only repeats annually.

Also, as I would only be working 39 weeks a year, would I need to find out what the weekly pay would be if I was only getting paid over 39 weeks and not being spread over 52 weeks (if it needs to be calculated over 39 weeks, I would be over the maximum weekly earnings)

Thanks for reading 🙂
