On the subject of gardening, are there any charities who will do gardening at minimal costs, for people who are disabled but own their own home?

I would try local council for any local services advise or age uk I wish you luck in your quest

You could try looking into whether you have a local Rotary Club. It can vary across the country but sometimes they'll help people out with gardening tasks. Or perhaps something like GoodGym.

I am interested in this as well - with a large lawn that needs mowing regularly

Hi @dee61 ,
Yes – there are some charities and local schemes that help with gardening at low cost for disabled people. A couple worth checking are the Gardening with Disabilities Trust (they give small grants for tools/adaptations) and Thrive (they run gardening projects and can signpost local help). I personally used to get help from Groundworks.
Also, lots of Age UK branches and councils have volunteer gardening or handyperson schemes – usually much cheaper than hiring a gardener. It really depends on where you live, but if you share your area people here might be able to suggest something local. 🌱Cherry🍒

@michael57 you made my day. Yesterday the communal gardeners "Wise Men Team" - (would you believe the name? ) butchered all my roses and other plants and it saddens me to even look out from my windows today. Your pictures of those vibrant flowers are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing

A local gardening company here is called 'The Lady Gardeners'. Make of that what you will!
