Carers allowance

hi everyone I have been receiving pip since 2023 and have had various different carers so have never claimed careres allowance now I have just the one and wanted them to claim carers allowance but I was recently sent a pip review form which I filled out and sent back a few weeks ago. I know it takes a while to hear back but I just wanted to know can my brother still claim the carers allowance whilst it’s under review or has anyone else had a similar situation thank you

    Hi @faifai2915, your carer should still be able to claim carer's allowance while you wait to hear back from your review. Your existing PIP claim will continue as normal until your review decision comes through ☺️

    Thank you @Rosie_Scope will get them to apply. And also there can be periods where I have multiple people caring for me is there any way I can get paid directly and then pay my carers individually was never sure how it worked thank you again

    @faifai2915, Carers allowance is generally for one person caring for another, so the allowance will go to the person who has applied for it. I don't think there is a way to have it paid into your own personal account unfortunately.
