The sky is bright blue, not a cloud in sight! It's warm, my tummy is full and there's a roof over my head. I'm feeling blessed and peaceful today π 6

Saw a lovely Red Admiral butterfly in the garden today. And it's sunny enough to dry the washing outside, so it'll be all fresh when I bring it in later. Delightful π 4

I hope the problem wasn't too costly to repair? Nothing to do with theses machines seems to be cheap! 0

What discipline or sport are 'Hampshire Woman'? I am guessing that funny, English game, cricket.π 1

We are staying in a hotel in Keswick, but will be visiting other areas. Thank you @Mary_Scope 1

It was costly, Β£420! π You got it right, Chris, yep, cricket! π I had good news on that too, as a thank you for our support, they're letting all members go to the final for free. So I got my money back on the ticket, that goes a little way towards the wheelchair motor!! π Mind you, it'll probably be rained off! π€£ 1

I might have missed out, but I have absolutely no idea about cricket. I don't know about England, but I tend to think of private schools and posh clubs when I think of cricket. I have almost never seen lads playing it in the park, or had any introduction at school. There is a private cricket club about 7 miles away, and that looks posh. I also know the fee paying Dundee High School teach it (The school Ricky Ross went to). Anyway, glad you got the old jalopy back on the road! 1

@ durhamjaide2001 - Nothing exciting, but it is as much 'cooking' as I manage now. I had 3 veggie sausages, a small baked (microwave) potato, and a generous amount of cannellini beans. 0

oh it's lovely there @Bluebell21 there's a nice fish and chips shop there. We used to go on a Friday with respite when we stayed at the accommodation of Calvert Keswick. @Chris75_ that sounds nice I had tomato with toast last night for dinner one of my usuals 0

Tomatoes on toast is very nice. I am a recent convert. Have you anything to report with regards to your move? It must be quite an exciting prospect! 0

Thank you! βΊοΈ All walks of life play cricket now, not just at private schools, state education is no barrier, including top players. There's a big push to get kids playing, boys & girls, playing in state schools, joining clubs & things. With the advent of The Hundred, a franchise shorter form of the game with just 100 balls to bowl, it has really got kids interested, which is what is needed. There was a guy who used to post on here that played for the Hampshire disability team. 1

I once saw some Asian men playing cricket in a park in Aberdeen, but that must be one of the very rare instances I can recall. 1
