Appiontee
Hello again ,I'm a Appointee for my daughter's benefits ESA support group ,pip hb .
She has had Migration letter to UC .Dose anyone know if ESA DWP let UC know she has an appiontee .
is it that straight forward I know I may have to write it in her journal when she dose an online application . Thanks

Hi @rita444. The Gov website says this:
Was the letter sent to you or your daughter? If it was sent to you then they will know that she has you as an appointee. If it was sent to your daughter then I would contact the helpline to explain you are her appointee.

It was sent to me as I'm her Appointee . It's just that I have read a few posts from last year . That say they may request a home visit to set up appionteeship for UC as UC and ESA are different benefits . Thanks

I'm aware that they do home visits to set up a new appointee but I can't find any information on whether they do this when migrating to UC. I can't say for sure but I would expect that because they've asked you to migrate and that the letter was sent to you that they wouldn't need to do a home visit.
One of our members may have some personal experience of this but I hope I've managed to help.

Hi, I have 2 adult children who I am appointee for. The first migration for our daughter went smoothly. The one for our son last week is turning into a nightmare. I don’t seem to be able to get a straight answer from anyone about my situation. Seems to be luck of the draw.
