ESA Telephone Assessment Tomorrow GP Still not returned ESA113

Hi,
I am looking for some help and advice.
Maximus received my ESA50 form and sent a ESA113 form to my GP, The GP has had it since 15th August, and has still not completed it, although they say it will be done tomorrow (Monday).
As my telephone assessment is due tomorrow:
- Will Maximus not receiving it make a big Difference ?.
- Is there now not much point in the GP sending it in now, or will the DWP Still use it to make a decision?.
- Since the ESA113 is basically what is written on the Sick Note, will the DWP Decision maker take the Sick Note into consideration instead ?.
Many Thanks.

Hi @dan6161. I don't have personal experience of this so I'm hoping that one of our members does and will be able to answer you.

In my case I sent my esa 50 in Jan 24. Hadn't heard anything, I saw they contacted my gp when I was at my gp and she was scrolling through my notes, it was from March 24. I phoned esa up in August and although they had received my form they hadn't acted on it. So when I said my conditions are worse did they then put through a wca for me to do last week. So I don't think it would make any difference, as the lady didn't seem to know about it. Hope it goes OK

Hi dan and welcome to Scope 😊
Maximus does not see the ESA113 or your 'fit note' - Statement of Fitness for Work - also known as a Med3 Certificate so don't worry about it being completed tomorrow. Your GP will send it by email to DWP.
The ESA113 is a much longer form and the best medical evidence to support your claim. You're having a 'health assessment' for DWP purposes and not a medical assessment.
