Hi, my name is Tornado21!

hello
my son just got awarded DLA. I have received the back pay which I am 99% sure works out as middle care amount. I don’t think they have awarded mobility as I had little evidence at the time of applying. I now have some evidence in the form of a risk assessment from school. Am I able to resubmit for that part or do I have to make a whole new claim? I found the 40 pages really mentally draining. 😩

Hi @Tornado21 sorry to hear about the decision regarding mobility. You could request a mandatory reconsideration and supply this evidence. It has to be requested within a month from the decision date however they will likely review the claim in it's entirety. I have seen some recent posts from users who have been successful with their mandatory reconsideration requests which is promising, albeit each situation is unique.
